35. Al Fatir

Fatir is the name of Allah that occurs in the first ayat, fatir is Allah's name of his creative capacity. Fatir is actually meant to create something and molded beautifully, molded perfectly.

Ayat 1

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ فَاطِرِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ جَاعِلِ الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةِ رُسُلًاۙ اُولِيْٓ اَجْنِحَةٍ مَّثْنٰى وَثُلٰثَ وَرُبٰعَۗ يَزِيْدُ فِى الْخَلْقِ مَا يَشَاۤءُۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ

All praise and gratitude belong to Allah, the carver, the creative designer and creator of the skies and the earth, the maker of angels, and he makes angels into messengers that possess wings, 2 a piece, 3 a piece, and 4 a piece (these differences of angels), and he made messengers out of them. He increases in his creation whatever he wants, certainly, Allah is in complete control over all things.

Ayat 2

مَا يَفْتَحِ اللّٰهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِنْ رَّحْمَةٍ فَلَا مُمْسِكَ لَهَا ۚوَمَا يُمْسِكْۙ فَلَا مُرْسِلَ لَهٗ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهٖۗ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ

Allah would open any doors to mercy for people if he want to open them then there’s no one at all that can prevent those mercies from those doors to close, and wherever He might close off then there’s no one to send them that mercy or someone to be sent to open it after him, and HE is the ultimate authority, all-wise.

Some say this ayat refers to revelation itself. When Allah has opened the doors to revelation, no one can close it. And once Allah closes it, nobody will able to open it again.

Ayat 3

يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اذْكُرُوْا نِعْمَتَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْۗ هَلْ مِنْ خَالِقٍ غَيْرُ اللّٰهِ يَرْزُقُكُمْ مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۖ فَاَنّٰى تُؤْفَكُوْنَ

People, make mention of the favor of Allah onto you. Is there any creeator other than Allah at all? That provides for you in the skies and in the earth (Allah provides the water from the skies and everything else from the earth). No one has to be wordshiped and obeyed at all except He. Then how are you being turned away? And how in the world are you then going anywhere else?

Ayat 4

وَاِنْ يُّكَذِّبُوْكَ فَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَۗ وَاِلَى اللّٰهِ تُرْجَعُ الْاُمُوْرُ

Then if they lie against you, then messengers were allied against before you also, and to Allah all the decisions will be returned in the end.

Ayat 5

يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اِنَّ وَعْدَ اللّٰهِ حَقٌّ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ الْحَيٰوةُ الدُّنْيَاۗ وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُمْ بِاللّٰهِ الْغَرُوْرُ

People, listen up! no doubt, the promises of Allah is true, that worldly life shouldnt delude you (you shouldnt be deluded by it), you shouldnt be deceived by it. And in regards to Allah, the ultimately deceptive shaitan shouldn’t get ahold of you.

Do you know what that means? First of all, Allah mentions worldly life and how captivating it can be and how you can get immersed in it in whatever capacity. Some people are workaholics, some people are sport holics, some people are video game holic, some people are food crazy, some people are house crazy, some people are fashion crazy, some people are beauty crazy, some people are status crazy and fame crazy, etc. People have different kinds of crazies in this world, and that becomes their life. And then there are people that just want to live life and not worry about anything else, they just want to hang out in their whole life, which means they don’t have any plan, this is worldly life. They not heading toward anything greater.

And so when you become emerged in that, to the Muslim satan modifies his tricks “hey, I know you’re messed up, but you’re not that messed up. I mean, you pray at Ramadhan, right? So you’re good. You fasted, didn’t you? So what a little you know little something on the side once in a while, it’s okay, doesn’t matter. You’re planning on going to umrah, aren’t you? It’s all good then.” So one of the ways of deception of satan is he makes you proud of your good deeds or makes you feel like your good deeds should compensate for your bad behavior. He just convinces you that somehow you’re good, good deeds should be good enough and Allah was not going to punish you.

Another trick is very common among Muslims “ Allah so merciful, His mercy so awesome, why would He punish you? Think about it, His mercy is way to big and your crimes are way too small. So there’s no way He’s gonna come after you” There’s another trick of satan. In regards to Allah, he will deceive. He’ll tell you stuff about Allah and make you not have the right idea about Allah, to not have the right idea of what Allah expects from you, what He wants from you. Then satan comes to you about Allah and says “ Allah give you all this talent, Allah give you all your good looks, why wouldn’t you be a player? That is what Allah wants from you. That’s why he give you all this talent, Allah made you an amazing singer. Why do you go become a rock star and do your concert tour and all of that? That is what Allah wants from you. You know actors or singers and musicians that consider themselves very spiritual and say “ I’m inspired by Allah” And then there are like ambassadors of Muslim humiliation and entertainers, and then they donate to humanitarian causes in Ramadhan. But in regards to their relationship with Allah is not determined by one deed or two dees that you think nice, it doesn’t compensate for the other stuff, it doesn’t work like that in our deen

Ayat 6

اِنَّ الشَّيْطٰنَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ فَاتَّخِذُوْهُ عَدُوًّاۗ اِنَّمَا يَدْعُوْا حِزْبَهٗ لِيَكُوْنُوْا مِنْ اَصْحٰبِ السَّعِيْرِۗ

Saitan no doubt about it is an enemy to you and take him as an enemy. He calls on his party (whoever listens to him is his party, whoever takes influence from his) so that they all become from people of the blazing flame.

Ayat 7

اَلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيْدٌ ەۗ وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمْ مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَّاَجْرٌ كَبِيْرٌ ࣖ

Those who disbelieved, they already have intense punishment. And those who believe and did the few rightteous deeds except of them, they will have forgiveness and a huge compensation.

Ayat 8

اَفَمَنْ زُيِّنَ لَهٗ سُوْۤءُ عَمَلِهٖ فَرَاٰهُ حَسَنًاۗ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُضِلُّ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ وَيَهْدِيْ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُۖ فَلَا تَذْهَبْ نَفْسُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسَرٰتٍۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلِيْمٌ ۢبِمَا يَصْنَعُوْنَ

And then as for the one who for him his evil, most evil of deeds have been beautified (he does the wrong thing, and it’s beautified to him, he loves doing the wrong things, he obsessed with doing the wrong thing, he glorifies the wrong thing) and they seeing it’s as good, then Allah he allows whoever he wants to be misguided and he guides whoever he wants. Then don’t kill yourself in grief over grief upon grief upon over them regret upon regret upon over them (In other words, yes, there's frustrating news and world politics and world events, there’s frustrating news that are happening all over even against Muslim and the propaganda against them and how the good of the Quran has made to look like evil and the evil of everything else is being made to look like good, it’s very frustrating. But you shouldn’t get overwhelmed by that, and you shouldn’t just indulge in that so much that you can’t do anything else.) and no doubt Allah is fully knowledgeable of what you manufacture.

Ayat 9

وَاللّٰهُ الَّذِيْٓ اَرْسَلَ الرِّيٰحَ فَتُثِيْرُ سَحَابًا فَسُقْنٰهُ اِلٰى بَلَدٍ مَّيِّتٍ فَاَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ الْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَاۗ كَذٰلِكَ النُّشُوْرُ

Allah is the one who sends the winds and then they bring along, they heard along, and they tell clouds with them to lift, then we heard those clouds to a land that was dead. Then we gave life to that land after it had come to die, and just like that the raising after death is going to be (resurrection)

Ayat 10

مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيْدُ الْعِزَّةَ فَلِلّٰهِ الْعِزَّةُ جَمِيْعًاۗ اِلَيْهِ يَصْعَدُ الْكَلِمُ الطَّيِّبُ وَالْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ يَرْفَعُهٗ ۗوَالَّذِيْنَ يَمْكُرُوْنَ السَّيِّاٰتِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيْدٌ ۗوَمَكْرُ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُوَ يَبُوْرُ

Whoever was looking for authority and respect, Allah alone owns all authority and all respect. To him alone, the good words raise/climb (When we say good words to one another, good advice, we share the words of Allah, then it’s like these good words are carried by the angels and they’re taken to Allah look what your slaves just said. and by saying it’s climbing means it’s heading towards Allah but it’s struggling) and the righteous deed / the good action it lifts it (Which means good speech it’s great and it’s heading in the right direction, it’s towards Allah to be accepted, to be rewarded, but when you really want to expedite that then you follow good speech up with action, and then it raises towards him.) and as for those who are plotting their evil plans, the evil deeds, they will have a painful punishment, and the plotting and the planning and the scheming of those kinds of people, it in fact is going to slowly deteriorate until it’s bankrupt.

Ayat 11

وَاللّٰهُ خَلَقَكُمْ مِّنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمْ اَزْوَاجًاۗ وَمَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ اُنْثٰى وَلَا تَضَعُ اِلَّا بِعِلْمِهٖۗ وَمَا يُعَمَّرُ مِنْ مُّعَمَّرٍ وَّلَا يُنْقَصُ مِنْ عُمُرِهٖٓ اِلَّا فِيْ كِتٰبٍۗ اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ يَسِيْرٌ

and Allah in fact is the one that created you from dirt, then He created you from a fluid, and then He make you spouses, and there’s not a single woman that carryig anything / theres not a single pregnant creature on the earth nor that it’s carrying, nor that it delivers except He knows all about it. And whoever has been given old age of anybody who enjoys old age or whoever is reduced from his average age except that was written in a book (Allah decide how long you’re gonna be on this earth, some long, some short and that’s on Allah’s hands) no doubt that is easy on Allah.

Ayat 12

وَمَا يَسْتَوِى الْبَحْرٰنِۖ هٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ سَاۤىِٕغٌ شَرَابُهٗ وَهٰذَا مِلْحٌ اُجَاجٌۗ وَمِنْ كُلٍّ تَأْكُلُوْنَ لَحْمًا طَرِيًّا وَّتَسْتَخْرِجُوْنَ حِلْيَةً تَلْبَسُوْنَهَا ۚوَتَرَى الْفُلْكَ فِيْهِ مَوَاخِرَ لِتَبْتَغُوْا مِنْ فَضْلِهٖ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُوْنَ

and the two kinds of ocean aren’t the same (this life and the next life are not the same, day and night are not the same, you were inside your mother and when you are outside you’re not the same) this one is fresh water, you drink it, it’s good, you want more and you want more even if youre not thirsty, you want more and its endless, it keeps on coming, it goes down easy on the throat, and the other side it’s sour and salty. And notice out of either side you consume fresh meat (freshwater life and seawater life and from both you get marine life that you can consume, you can eat), and from either side, sweet water or salt water you pull out pearls that you dress in and then you see ships that are going to rip through and then they’re going to leave like cloth has been ripped, so it tears through the ocean so that you can pursue out of his favor, so you can engage in trade with. And so that all of you may be grateful (which means most of the things were the clothes were wearing on and the technology that we’re enjoying and probably even the pens and pencils that we have in our hands were probably should ships to us from somewhere across the Atlantic.)

If you think this ayat is doesn’t affect you it’s not true because the entire world is now affected by travel at sea)

Ayat 13

يُوْلِجُ الَّيْلَ فِى النَّهَارِ وَيُوْلِجُ النَّهَارَ فِى الَّيْلِۚ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَّجْرِيْ لِاَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّىۗ ذٰلِكُمُ اللّٰهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ الْمُلْكُۗ وَالَّذِيْنَ تَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖ مَا يَمْلِكُوْنَ مِنْ قِطْمِيْرٍۗ

He makes the night take advantage and enter into the day, He make the night or makes the day enter into the night, and He made the sun and the moon and He overpowered and domesticated them, every one of them (sun and the moon) flows and runs until an appointed deadline, that in fact is Allah your master. To him alone is the kingdom and everything you’re calling on other than him, they don’t even own the shred off of the pit of a date.

So in this surah, you’ll notice from the beginning the rational argument for Allah to be a master isn’t revelation itself, actually, revelation is propelling you, pushing you to look around. Look at the ocean, look at the sky, look at the plants, look at the two different kinds of water, just sit there are look at it, and think about it, what Allah wants you to do.

Ayat 14

اِنْ تَدْعُوْهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُوْا دُعَاۤءَكُمْۚ وَلَوْ سَمِعُوْا مَا اسْتَجَابُوْا لَكُمْۗ وَيَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ يَكْفُرُوْنَ بِشِرْكِكُمْۗ وَلَا يُنَبِّئُكَ مِثْلُ خَبِيْرٍ ࣖ

If you were all the call on them, they wouldn’t listen to your call and even they could hear you (they couldn’t even try to respond), and on the day of ressuraction they are going to be in denial of all the shirk you used to do, and no one will inform you like the one who knows (Allah the one who knows).

Ayat 15

يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اَنْتُمُ الْفُقَرَاۤءُ اِلَى اللّٰهِ ۚوَاللّٰهُ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيْدُ

People, listen up. The gods you worship are bankrupt, what about you? you, yourself are completely bankrupt, you have nothing, you are bankrupt in need of Allah, your bankruptcy is constantly being helped out by Allah, and Allah in fact he is the one who needs nothing, and he is the one that is praised in and of himself.

Ayat 16

اِنْ يَّشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَأْتِ بِخَلْقٍ جَدِيْدٍۚ

If he would want, He will remove/annihilate all of you, He will make all of you disappear and bring about a new creation altogether (is not hard for him, you’re not that precious)

Ayat 17

وَمَا ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ بِعَزِيْزٍ

And that is not a big deal for Allah, it’s not hard for him at all and it’s not going to be a tough decision for him

Ayat 18

وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِّزْرَ اُخْرٰى ۗوَاِنْ تَدْعُ مُثْقَلَةٌ اِلٰى حِمْلِهَا لَا يُحْمَلْ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ وَّلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبٰىۗ اِنَّمَا تُنْذِرُ الَّذِيْنَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَيْبِ وَاَقَامُوا الصَّلٰوةَ ۗوَمَنْ تَزَكّٰى فَاِنَّمَا يَتَزَكّٰى لِنَفْسِهٖ ۗوَاِلَى اللّٰهِ الْمَصِيْرُ

And no one will be carrying a load of anybody else (right now, when your family member needs help you want to carry their burden, For example, you carrying mom’s suitcase after landing or carrying groceries etc. When judgment day comes and there’s a family member and they are buried with a load of their deeds) and if that one buried in the deeds under that load calls someone to help (could you help me carry this a little? And the family members standing right next to him as a son, as a father, as a mom, they’re walking right by) but none of it will be carried by anybody else. No matter how close a relative he was, he will not be able to carry that burden. No doubt, you can only warn those who are truly truly fearful of their master in the unseen, and they established prayer, and whoever make an effort to cleans himself, purify himself, then he only makes those kinds of effort to clean himself up and purify himself for his own good. And to Allah alone is the final return.

Ayat 19

وَمَا يَسْتَوِى الْاَعْمٰى وَالْبَصِيْرُ ۙ

the blind and the one that can see can’t be the same

Ayat 20

وَلَا الظُّلُمٰتُ وَلَا النُّوْرُۙ

all these darkness and the true light can’t be the same.

Ayat 21

وَلَا الظِّلُّ وَلَا الْحَرُوْرُۚ

Nor can you be in the shade and be the same as the one who is out in the sun and is being heated

Ayat 22

وَمَا يَسْتَوِى الْاَحْيَاۤءُ وَلَا الْاَمْوَاتُۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُسْمِعُ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ ۚوَمَآ اَنْتَ بِمُسْمِعٍ مَّنْ فِى الْقُبُوْرِ

And what and how can the living and the dead be the same? (the people who have taken in this massage are like the earth that takes in the water and comes to life. And the people who refuse this massage is the barren land, rain or not it doesn’t benefit them, so they’re like dead). No doubt Allah makes whoever he wants to listen. And you can’t make someone listen the one who’s in the grave (whoever is in the grave, they won’t be able to listen to you and you can’t make them listen either. This means these people are as good as dead. People that don’t take in revelation, you should consider them like people that are in the graves).

Ayat 23

اِنْ اَنْتَ اِلَّا نَذِيْرٌ

You are nothing but a warner.

Ayat 24

اِنَّآ اَرْسَلْنٰكَ بِالْحَقِّ بَشِيْرًا وَّنَذِيْرًا ۗوَاِنْ مِّنْ اُمَّةٍ اِلَّا خَلَا فِيْهَا نَذِيْرٌ

No doubt we have sent you with purpose as a giver of good news as a giver of warnings. There’s not a single nation in existence except the warner passed through them too

Ayat 25

وَاِنْ يُّكَذِّبُوْكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚجَاۤءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ وَبِالزُّبُرِ وَبِالْكِتٰبِ الْمُنِيْرِ

If they’ve called you a liar that they called those who came much before did the same thing they called the message a lie, messengers came to them with the clearest proof and with scriptures that scrolled up and they were given the lightening book

Ayat 26

ثُمَّ اَخَذْتُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيْرِ ࣖ

Then I took ahold of those who disbelieved. Then how was my unspeakable destruction?

Ayat 27

اَلَمْ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ اَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءًۚ فَاَخْرَجْنَا بِهٖ ثَمَرٰتٍ مُّخْتَلِفًا اَلْوَانُهَا ۗوَمِنَ الْجِبَالِ جُدَدٌ ۢبِيْضٌ وَّحُمْرٌ مُّخْتَلِفٌ اَلْوَانُهَا وَغَرَابِيْبُ سُوْدٌ

Haven’t you seen that Allah is the one in fact that sent water down from the sky? Then He brought out from it all kinds of fruit that have different kinds of textures and colors, and among the mountains, there are those that are new (when the seasons come the mountain is covered with plants, and they look all white like the leaves of the plants are white and the rock itself is white or they turn white with snow, they become a new mountain altogether, you don’t even recognize it from before) and they are red rock, how different their textures and colors are? This mountain that is so black that you even see a texture of gray in them

Ayat 28

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ وَالدَّوَاۤبِّ وَالْاَنْعَامِ مُخْتَلِفٌ اَلْوَانُهٗ كَذٰلِكَۗ اِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللّٰهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمٰۤؤُاۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَزِيْزٌ غَفُوْرٌ

And of the people and all kinds of animals and even cattle, there are different colors. (Like Allah did a paint job on all things about color, human beings differently, animals differently, mountains of different colors and Allah give them textures all of them. And you know what the implication of these is? The implications of the anti-crush racism. Allah takes pride in all colors. Look how different people’s colors are. just like different mountain colors are, just like how different the colors of flowers are, and in the plants or fruits are. So colors are from Allah SWT, they’re gifts of God. So you don’t get to say this color is better than the other because they’re all from Allah) and they have a different texture also. Truly, the only ones who fear Allah are going to be people that actually know. (When you have the knowledge of Allah and you look at all of this nature it leads to the fear of Allah and appreciation of Allah. If you don’t have a knowledge of Allah, you can study botany, you be an expert of mountains, or you could have seen the most beautiful places on the planet but it’s doesn’t give you anything from Allah. That pre-programmed faith that Allah gave has to remain preserved somehow in you and then when you see the world around you, it will spark in you faith. The other really interesting thing from a philosophical point of view here is Allah told us to appreciate things, but the relationship we have with Allah this ayat is one of fear. Instead of saying the one who praises Allah will be the one of knowledge, he sees all of this and he does appraise Allah, but instead of Allah said he fears him. Why? Because when you see all of the texture and all of this beauty, the one thing that you look around you and conclude is what Allah taught us in surah Al Imran Allah say رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَٰذَا بَٰطِلًا سُبْحَٰنَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ my master, you didn’t create this without purpose, you are way above that, so please save us from fire. In other words, if there is a purpose in all of this, that must mean you have a purpose. All of the things is know their purpose, the bees know where to draw the honey, the plant know whats kind of food it will give, the cow knows to give the milk, the sun knows when and where to side and where to fall, everything else knows its purpose, but if you until now haven’t found your purpose then you will have to answer Allah. If he made everything for a reason and you haven’t found your purpose then you in trouble.) t(And this recognition that Allah an authority means you gonna have to answer to an authority, you not free to go wherever you want. But the good thing is Allah also forgiving.

Ayat 29

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَتْلُوْنَ كِتٰبَ اللّٰهِ وَاَقَامُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاَنْفَقُوْا مِمَّا رَزَقْنٰهُمْ سِرًّا وَّعَلَانِيَةً يَّرْجُوْنَ تِجَارَةً لَّنْ تَبُوْرَۙ

Now, on top of that, on top of coming to these conclusions, then those who read the book of Allah and established salat and they spend from what we have provided them secretly and openly (why the spend? These people find their purpose and they don’t want to forget their purpose so they keep spending for Allah. Because they know that is their actual retirement plan. So what are 3 ways in this ayat that they maintain cognizance of their purpose? They continuously read the book of Allah, they establish prayer, and they spent. Btw, look at the beauty of it. Reading the book and prayer are both speech and spending is action) they are hopeful for a business that will not go down in its investment

Ayat 30

لِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ اُجُوْرَهُمْ وَيَزِيْدَهُمْ مِّنْ فَضْلِهٖۗ اِنَّهٗ غَفُوْرٌ شَكُوْرٌ

so that he can compensate them fully for the works that they did and so that he can increase them on top of that from his favor, no doubt Allah truly is extremely forgiving and extremly grateful.

We learning that these behaviors earn forgiveness and are always grateful / always thanking Allah a lot. Shakur in the case of Allah is Allah is extremely appreciative of what is slaves do. Allah says for the deed that you have done, he will forgive and he’s extremely appreciative of the effort that you made.

Ayat 31

وَالَّذِيْٓ اَوْحَيْنَآ اِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتٰبِ هُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِعِبَادِهٖ لَخَبِيْرٌۢ بَصِيْرٌ

And then finally we have revealed to you from the book and it is the truth that confirms whatever before it. No doubt, Allah in regards to his slaves has full information and he has a complete view of them.

Ayat 32

ثُمَّ اَوْرَثْنَا الْكِتٰبَ الَّذِيْنَ اصْطَفَيْنَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَاۚ فَمِنْهُمْ ظَالِمٌ لِّنَفْسِهٖ ۚوَمِنْهُمْ مُّقْتَصِدٌ ۚوَمِنْهُمْ سَابِقٌۢ بِالْخَيْرٰتِ بِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِ ۗذٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْكَبِيْرُۗ

Then we gave the book and inheritance, we gave it an inheritance to those who we had chosen out of our own goodwill. Then among them are those the kind of person who runs himself (he gets a book, he’s a Muslim, he understands the book, the read the book, he listens to it, he studies it, and he still does wrong things) and among them is at least the one who tries to be fair to the text (Okay, it’s not that bad, it’s not that bad. He’s down the middle). And then there is the honor roll, the one who competes in good deeds, who understands that one revelation came by Allah’s permission (The real treasure is to earn good deeds). and that is the ultimate gift (Meaning to be the one who competes in good deeds and if you can compete in good deeds then ayat no 33)

Ayat 33

جَنّٰتُ عَدْنٍ يَّدْخُلُوْنَهَا يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيْهَا مِنْ اَسَاوِرَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَّلُؤْلُؤًا ۚوَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيْهَا حَرِيْرٌ

The garden of Eden are the one they’re gonna enter. They’re gonna be adorned, decorated, ducked out in it with bracelets made of gold and pearls, and their gear / their outfits in it are going to be an exotic and thick form of silk.

Ayat 34

وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْٓ اَذْهَبَ عَنَّا الْحَزَنَۗ اِنَّ رَبَّنَا لَغَفُوْرٌ شَكُوْرٌۙ

And they’re gonna say “Alhamdullilah, all praise and gratitude belongs to Allah. The one who got rid of all kinds of grief from us (Jannah is where your grief is removed) Our master truly was as he meant extremely forgiving and extremely appreciative.

Ayat 35

الَّذِيْٓ اَحَلَّنَا دَارَ الْمُقَامَةِ مِنْ فَضْلِهٖۚ لَا يَمَسُّنَا فِيْهَا نَصَبٌ وَّلَا يَمَسُّنَا فِيْهَا لُغُوْبٌ

The one who opened and allowed and made permissible for us the home of permanent residents out of his favor. No exhaustion is going to hit us here (these people in between the line stood in front of Allah, praying until they couldn’t stand. They work for Allah until they got exhausted. And now they thanking Allah because of the good days of exhaustion) and we’re not gonna be overworked here ever again (Which means you have to be overworked right now, in this world)

Ayat 36

وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَهُمْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَۚ لَا يُقْضٰى عَلَيْهِمْ فَيَمُوْتُوْا وَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمْ مِّنْ عَذَابِهَاۗ كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِيْ كُلَّ كَفُوْرٍ ۚ

Those who disbelieved are going to have the fire of Jahanam. It’s not gonna do away with them. It’s not going to end their case / kill them so they could just die and it’s not gonna lighten its load on them either from its punishment. That is how we compensate every extremely ungrateful

Ayat 37

وَهُمْ يَصْطَرِخُوْنَ فِيْهَاۚ رَبَّنَآ اَخْرِجْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَالِحًا غَيْرَ الَّذِيْ كُنَّا نَعْمَلُۗ اَوَلَمْ نُعَمِّرْكُمْ مَّا يَتَذَكَّرُ فِيْهِ مَنْ تَذَكَّرَ وَجَاۤءَكُمُ النَّذِيْرُۗ فَذُوْقُوْا فَمَا لِلظّٰلِمِيْنَ مِنْ نَّصِيْرٍ ࣖ

And they’re gonna be crying out for help as loud as they can in edge, “Master, get us out of here. We act righteously, exactly the opposite of what we used to do, everything I did I will not do I promise”. The response comes “ did we give you a long enough age? The same age that whoever was going to take benefit of the reminder could take benefit in? Didn’t you have enough time? Are you saying didn’t get enough time? You didn’t get enough warning? I didn’t give you enough of a lease in life on this earth that you could get your act together? Are you saying gave you less than you deserve? And isn’t it the case that the warner came to you for? Then just taste it ! That’s what you deserve. For wrongdoers they’re not gonna have any aid whatsoever”

Ayat 38

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَالِمُ غَيْبِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ اِنَّهٗ عَلِيْمٌ ۢبِذَاتِ الصُّدُوْرِ

No doubt Allah in fact the one that knows, he’s the nur of the unseen of the skies and the earth. No doubt he is fully knowledgeable of the nature of the chest (He knows what’s going on deep inside you)

This is mentioned right after the idea of these people asking for an extra bit of time. Allah says “look, I know things that you can’t even see. And I know your intentions and your speech when you say give us the time we will change our behavior. I know your behavior. You’re exactly the kind of person, If I do send you back, I know you’re gonna go back to your old ways again. So when I’m letting you stay in hell, it’s because you deserve it absolutely”

Ayat 39

هُوَ الَّذِيْ جَعَلَكُمْ خَلٰۤىِٕفَ فِى الْاَرْضِۗ فَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهٗۗ وَلَا يَزِيْدُ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ كُفْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ اِلَّا مَقْتًا ۚوَلَا يَزِيْدُ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ كُفْرُهُمْ اِلَّا خَسَارًا

He’s the one who left you behind on the earth (Meaning generation after generation you inherit the earth) Then whoever disbelieves will carry his burden himself. And as far as the disbeliever’s disbelief is concerned Allah says “their disbelieve is not going to increase them with Allah except even in more discussed, Allah has increased in his ” (Meaning as they continue in their disbelief and they increase in their disbelief they’ll be even more disgusted with Allah, they don’t wanna hear about Allah, they get more aggressive, they get more agitated. And the more they engrossed themselves in disbelief, Allah that much more disgusted with them).

Ayat 40

قُلْ اَرَاَيْتُمْ شُرَكَاۤءَكُمُ الَّذِيْنَ تَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ ۗاَرُوْنِيْ مَاذَا خَلَقُوْا مِنَ الْاَرْضِ اَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْكٌ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِۚ اَمْ اٰتَيْنٰهُمْ كِتٰبًا فَهُمْ عَلٰى بَيِّنَتٍ مِّنْهُۚ بَلْ اِنْ يَّعِدُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا اِلَّا غُرُوْرًا

Tell them, “have you actually seen those representations themselves (the idol) ? The one that you calling beside Allah. Show me, what did they create out of the earth? Or do they have a partnership? Or do they have a share in the skies? Or is it these Gods that we gave a book or I gave you idol worshippers a book? Then they are on some clear proof and they’re committed to a clear proof, that revelation told them to worship these idols based on it?” Wrongdoers promise each other nothing but deception. They don’t promise each other anything but deception.

Ayat 41

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُمْسِكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ اَنْ تَزُوْلَا ەۚ وَلَىِٕنْ زَالَتَآ اِنْ اَمْسَكَهُمَا مِنْ اَحَدٍ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِهٖ ۗاِنَّهٗ كَانَ حَلِيْمًا غَفُوْرًا

No doubt Allah in fact he is the one holding the sky and the earth off from them to not exist anymore. And if they were to fall apart then there is no one at all in here again except Allah. No doubt Allah is extremely forbearing and extremely forgiving.

In other words, the crimes of human beings are enough for the skies and the earth to fall apart but it’s his forbearance, he extreme forgiveness that keeps the skies on earth in place

Ayat 42

وَاَقْسَمُوْا بِاللّٰهِ جَهْدَ اَيْمَانِهِمْ لَىِٕنْ جَاۤءَهُمْ نَذِيْرٌ لَّيَكُوْنُنَّ اَهْدٰى مِنْ اِحْدَى الْاُمَمِۚ فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمْ نَذِيْرٌ مَّا زَادَهُمْ اِلَّا نُفُوْرًاۙ

And they swear to God and they make the most emotional oaths when they make those swears to Allah, they make the effort, they go out of their way to call these oaths like they’re trying to impress their public and how sincere they are. If a warner in fact does come to them then they’re going to be the most guided than any other nation ( See how these political games these leaders played. The leader of the Quraish would go to the public, gather the entire public and say “We swear to Allah with a Kabbah behind us, if in fact, the warner did come, we would be the first to accept and we would accept more than any other nation in history except it. Are you with me?” and the audience say “yeah we’re with you. Muhammad is not a messenger” They rile up the crowd and they give this emotional rhetoric). When the warner did come to them, it increased them in nothing but extreme hatred and animosity (When a messenger came, they became a mob and all they do is hate on him)

Ayat 43

اسْتِكْبَارًا فِى الْاَرْضِ وَمَكْرَ السَّيِّئِۗ وَلَا يَحِيْقُ الْمَكْرُ السَّيِّئُ اِلَّا بِاَهْلِهٖ ۗفَهَلْ يَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَّا سُنَّتَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَۚ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللّٰهِ تَبْدِيْلًا ەۚ وَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللّٰهِ تَحْوِيْلًا

Out of arrogance to maintain their arrogance and their greatness in the land in the city, and they would do so by plotting evil. And evil plot doesn’t come back to attack anyone but the architect itself, the one who made it himself. Then have they paid attention and taken a good look at the legacies of the earliest generations? Then you are not going to find any alteration, any change in the way of Allah does things. (If those nations plotted against messengers and were destroyed, you are not gonna be any different). And you’re not gonna find any amendments to the sunnah of Allah

Ayat 44

اَوَلَمْ يَسِيْرُوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوْا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ وَكَانُوْٓا اَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً ۗوَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ لِيُعْجِزَهٗ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَلَا فِى الْاَرْضِۗ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ عَلِيْمًا قَدِيْرًا

Didn’t they go around in the land? Then didn’t they take a good look at what came of those who came way before them? They were much more powerful than them. And Allah has never wanted that something overpowers him anything in the skies and the earth. No doubt he has always been fully knowledgeable and fully capable.

Ayat 45

وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ اللّٰهُ النَّاسَ بِمَا كَسَبُوْا مَا تَرَكَ عَلٰى ظَهْرِهَا مِنْ دَاۤبَّةٍ وَّلٰكِنْ يُّؤَخِّرُهُمْ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّىۚ فَاِذَا جَاۤءَ اَجَلُهُمْ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهٖ بَصِيْرًا ࣖ

If Allah grabbed ahold of people because of what they’ve earned themselves, No one would remain on the back of the earth of any existence, any creature (Human beings have done so much sin on this earth, if Allah gave them what they deserve then life in this planet would not exist. The destruction would be so vicious, it would be so violent, it would be no sea creature at the bottom of the ocean left. That is how much sin humanity had already done by the time Quran was revealed). However, he keeps putting them off until a named deadline. When their deadline does come then the only thing you need to know is Allah is always been in full view of his slaves ( In other words, Allah didn’t say when it comes the earth will shatter, the ocean will boil over, the sun will crash into the moon, he didn’t say that. All he say is, it’s enough for you to know that your sins up until now were enough to tear the skies apart and Allah has been in full view of all of his slaves. So imagine every single deed of every single human being ever and the earthquake is compensation for that, that’s what judgment day is. It’s going to be an equivalent of the deeds of humanity. And whatever we have done on the outside and whatever intentions we’ve kept on the inside, whatever motives, whatever drives we’ve hidden inside of ourselves, whatever loves and ambitions we’ve had inside of ourselves, whatever temptation, all of them Allah has full view of and which one of them you kept).
