As a black women I appreciate your playing as of of us. I should point out that these types of real world interactive mobile games are not new. I tried one several years ago where you were trying to establish your territory from rival gangs. I played about 10 minutes before #1 I realized what you did about the dangers of being shot or otherwise harassed by someone for being black and wandering around suspiciously, and #2 in that case, I was being a stereotype by playing such a ridiculous game. I should note, I’m not, nor have I ever been gang affiliated, for me it was just role playing someone totally different than myself. But I soon realized it was a world I don’t want to in anyway associate myself with for several reasons actually. This game of yours has a better concept, but still dangerous for some of us to play. What to do to change that? It’s a good question. Start by making police accountable for their actions, and maybe stop sending them to Israel to receive IDF military training and stop them treating us the way the IDF treats Palestinians. There is a lot more than that that needs to be done, but that would be a good start.
