Everyone reads. As a potential young entrepreneur gaining knowledge and experience will be a major struggle. But fortunately, there are a vast assembly of decades of experience and knowledge by those who have traveled the road you are about to travel. Some of these people have been kind enough to write books about their experiences and mistakes they made and most importantly how to avoid making those same mistakes they made. Reading books written by successful people in society will give you an advantage those people never had. These are a bunch of books that budding entrepreneurs can read in order to learn valuable lessons that will otherwise take them a lifetime of try and error to learn. Here are some of the business books that will give the young entrepreneur a head start.

1.. Think and Grow Rich

This classic motivational book was written by Napoleon Hill. This book uses the stories of past great personalities like Henry Ford, Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison and other rich people. This book motivates you and also prepares you for a prosperous life.

2.. Rich Dad Poor Dad

This finance book was written by Robert Kiyosaki, a self-made multi-millionaire. He talks about how the rich people see the world differently. The reach people teach their children the rules about money. He most importantly drew a clear line between an asset and a liability and the only way to become rich is to acquire more assets and less liabilities.

3.. The $100 Startup

The author of this book Chris Guillebeau uses a lot of people who have started successful businesses with very little or even sometimes with no money. He believes that an idea and skills are the most important things needed to start a business especially in a technologically inclined world. There are practical guides in this book that will motivate you start your own business right away with little or no money.

4.. The Lean Startup

This book by Eric Ries is a must read for any person who wants to start his or her own business. Eric teaches the concept of Minimum Viable Product which helps businesses fast track the launching of new products. Importantly, this book helps individuals to take action and make their ideas into products and services with the basic features and then improve upon the product or service by using the feedback receive from customers. This book also help you prevent making some mistakes that can affect the existence of your business.

5.. Rework

The author Jason Fried has a different approach to how businesses can be started and maintained. Jason gave a completely different approach and most of his methods are counter-intuitive to conventional approaches. Read this book and see why Jason thinks writing of plans can be harmful, why businesses don’t need capital from outside investors and why ignoring your competition is a good thing for your business. Jason’s counter-intuitive ideas will provoke and inspire you.

Reading these books and not practicing what is being preached in these books is a waste of your time. Do not make an effort to read any of these books unless you are ready to put into practice the lessons in these books
