While in essence you have a point. What I have a problem with isn’t the lack of patriotism, he’s making a point. It’s the fact that it’s rude not to stand for the national anthem. He’s being ill-mannered and that’s his unforgivable sin. He doesn’t like racial inequality, well he’s in a unique position to do something about it. He’s a celebrity who is earning far above the average wage, so he could put some of that hard earned paycheck towards trying to close the gap. Make people aware and so on. Instead he chooses to settle on being a rude person, the adult equivalent of the kid who chooses to be disruptive in school. That’s the real problem and the example he sets.
