13 injured
GUWAHATI, February 24: At least 13 people were injured when suspected NDFB (S) militants triggered two blasts in Kamrup (R) district on Monday evening, a day ahead of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi’s scheduled visit to the State. The blasts took place at the crowded Gasbari daily market near Baihata Chariali. Eye witnesses told police that two motorcycle–borne youth lobbed two grenades at the market. A preliminary investigation indicated they were grenade blasts. All the injured were taken to a hospital.
