Flying squads remove over 7,000 posters


ITANAGAR, March 11: The Flying Squads deployed at Itanagar and Naharlagun along with City Police and CRPF personnel removed about 7,000 posters belonging to various organizations from Naharlagun and Itanagar areas.

Vehicle checking was also carried out by the City Police at various points at Itanagar and Naharlagun area and 81 vehicles have been fined for violation of various sections of MV Act, city SP Seju P Kuruvilla said in a release here today.

The Police also realized an amount of Rs 12,200 as fine from the traffic violators. Red beacons fitted on vehicles were also removed, the SP informed. While informing that City Police will continue the drive, the SP suggested all vehicle owners to get proper number plates fixed on their vehicles and carry all relevant documents.
