Except that that’s a lie. There is no “perverts and pedophiles” threat. There has never been a single reported case anywhere of a trans woman (nor someone “pretending” to be one) ever harassing anyone in a women’s restroom. Trans women have been using those bathrooms for as long as we’ve existed— so if it was a genuine risk, shouldn’t there be some evidence of it happening at least once in the last hundred years?

This is a fictional crime, invented to instill fear and confusion. Cis women have never been in danger from trans women in their spaces. There is plenty of real-world stalking, harassment, and assault, but it comes from heterosexual men who aren’t “pretending” to be anything else. (And it’s already illegal, in case you didn’t know.)
