Etsy has supported me and the widows/women in 3rd world/war torn/ poverty stricken areas of the world that I do a Fair Trade business with for four years now. It’s been a good platform for a long time and what’s happening right now needs to CHANGE! I interact with and support Turkish vendors on Etsy 7 days a week and this unforeseen event needs to be remedied ASAP!! Families depend on Etsy to make a living so they can feed and house their families, I have no doubt Etsy is working on a solution as we speak. And a solution needs to be created NOW, not a day or a week or a month from now but RIGHT NOW. People’s lives and safety depend on a SOLUTION. I’m spreading the word about your solution/blog to every Turkish vendor I interact with. So MANY Turkish vendors are afraid their “english isn’t good enough..”, afraid that if they speak up it could create problems…and NOT speaking up and being pro-active will create an even bigger problem.
