I wonder how you imagine yourself to be speaking for “we pedestrians”?
David Robjant

Guess what, most of the people who ride bikes would go through the red light on a pedestrian crossing when there is no pedestrians in sight. Almost all of those who drive a car would stop in the same case.

So your comparison is wrong.

You are right about the fact that the same people can cycle, walk or drive a car. And at the time of this action they are cyclists, pedestrians or drivers respectively. And they start to demonstrate behaviors of every one of those classes. In my case only two types of participation in traffic are walking or riding public transport. So I am a bona fide pedestrian.
