I tend to believe that it is much easier to improve team performance than improve individual performance, as Jeff Sutherland describes in his “Scrum” book. And that every single person is capable of achieving way much more than they believe they ever could, if put into the right role in the right environment as a part of a team which goals match their sense of purpose. So “hiring for the team” might be the best approach…
