One of the numerous attractions of Arunachal Pradesh is to experience its amazing waterfalls. Gushing out from the high cliffs and being shrouded by eye-catching flora and fauna these waterfalls produce an inexplicable panorama. 1. Nuranang Falls:

The 100 meters high Nuranang Falls or Bong Bong Falls is situated about 2 kilometres away from the town of Jang on the road linking Tawang and Bomdila. So one can visit the falls en route either at the time of reaching Tawang from Dirang or at the time returning from Tawang. The waterfalls are also known as the Jang Falls in Arunachal Pradesh. There is also a hydel plant located in the vicinity of the base to generate electricity for the use of the local people.

2. Chumi Gyatse Waterfalls

Chumi Gyatse Waterfall is a set of 108 waterfall streams situated at Tsechu village (Damteng) near the Tsechu Hot water stream. Chumi Gyatse is located in a narrow valley, characterised by steep cliffs and fast rapids of the Shou Chu river close to the India- Tibet- China border. These waterfalls are highly revered by the Monpas tribe (Tibetan Buddhists) of the state. The uniqueness of these waterfalls is that here the streams are coming inside of the mountain mysteriously giving no clue of the sources of the water. Its water is regarded as holy having numerous medicinal values.

It takes 4 hours to reach the waterfalls from the nearest tourist town Tawang. The route goes through many high-altitude mountain passes cradled with numerous glacier lakes and grazing fields. Whereas in the comparatively lower regions you can enjoy a mesmerizing drive through the Rhododendrons and Pine trees.

A one-day tour to Chumi Gyatse Fall from Tawang can be done clubbing with the Bumla Pass. 3. Siko Dido Waterfall

Siko Dido Waterfall is located in Irgo village by the Aalo-Mechuka road, a few kilometres before Mechuka. The falling of the white water stream from a height of approximately 200 feet through the moss covered black cliff and a blue plunge pool at it’s bottom with the stunning green mountains surrounding it, are some awesome sights to behold.
