Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE) is a Global program through which you can learn, grow, and connect with many people around the globe. Microsoft, in this program, is looking for self-driven educators around the world, who are passionate about learning and teaching, who motivate others to learn and teach others, who inspire others to think creatively, and who enjoy working collaboratively.

This is a program to inspire your students to learn and achieve more and provide the same knowledge to others.

The MIE Expert is a program created to recognize global educator visionaries who are using technology to pave the way for their peers in the effective use of technology for better learning and student outcomes.

Sharing of knowledge is quintessential to societal development, and Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE) program extends that mission on a larger scale.

How to nominate yourself for the MIEE program?

Step 1:

Join the Microsoft Educator Center and complete your profile.

Step 2:

Complete two hours of courses on the Microsoft Educator Center and earn yourself a Certified MIE badge. You must be a Certified MIE to become (or stay) an MIE Expert.

Step 3:

Create a two-minute video or Sway that answers the following four questions:

1. Why do you consider yourself to be a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert?
2. Describe how you have incorporated Microsoft technologies in innovative ways into your classroom or your work with teachers. Include artifacts that demonstrate your innovation. Your examples should show that you have cultivated a strong modern teaching and learning environment.
3. How have you positively impacted the learning and growth of your colleagues? Have you reached beyond your classroom to coach/support other teachers in their growth? Please share examples.
4. If you become an MIE Expert, how do you hope it will impact your current role in the next 12 months?
