Why you need to work this muscle in todays economy.

Although, physically exercise is a segway to this concept and I am a big proponent of exercise for not only physical, but also mental health. I am not actually talking about a bicep or chest muscle here.
The muscle I am referring to is the “idea muscle” which I will give, James Altucher credit for introducing me to. Through his podcast The James Altucher Show he brings up the concept of 10 Ideas a day which I fell in love with. His podcast is undoubtedly, one of my top 3 favorite podcasts currently. I will do a post on reviewing some of my favorite podcasts and go over strategies I’ve implemented into my daily life.
Okay, why I think this topic of an “idea muscle” needs to be talked about and understood. First, I do want to say I think that we are living in an amazing time and am grateful for all the technology we have access to today. However, this creates a problem when you don’t take time away from your screen or earbuds. I’m writing about this not because I think I am a some type of genius, but because I am also someone constantly catching myself enthralled with an overload of content and distractions.
This concept is a fun one and easily implementable skill, to use in your daily life. And, like a muscle the more you work it out the stronger and more efficient it gets. So, when you are going about your day you want to have this thought be in your mind, “how can this be better, what if we did it this way, what if you could, how come you have to..” It’s kind of hard putting it into simple phrases like I just poorly did. But, the idea is golden. How can this “thing” be improved, how would this look in the future, what if I combined these two ideas, and can I create/work on it now.
Hopefully, one person will take this simple idea and have an amazing idea that will change the landscape of our world. Before I forget, WRITE DOWN YOUR IDEAS. Don’t try to trick yourself and say I’ll remember it because 99.9% of the time you won’t.
