My (Smart)phone less life — Part 1.

In February after I stopped working with Food Surplus Entrepreneurs Network (which is now FoodWin), I went for my second course of #Vipassana, and there spending 10 days away from my gorgeous smartphone I came out of the addiction of posting Tweets and updating myself on what happens on Social Media.
And just a few days of my return visiting the Fitness centre my jeans got stolen and with it my wallet and my super awesome smartphone.
What happened to me after the loss?
- I had to call my lawyer as I had a hearing at court the same day with regard of the custody of my son. — No phone, no number.
- I had no contact (meaning the number)of friends to borrow a phone or some money. — No money, no help.
- My bank was not willing to authorise my online transaction anymore. — No money, no support.
- I had to run to all my appointments as I was still wearing my sports clothes. — No keys, (My key was in the jeans), no way of reaching my housemates
- I could not even send a distress call. — As I did not have access to my email, social media, etc.
- All my passwords were on my phone, No access to my laptop, so reseting the password was impossible. — Doomed in a world where people do not trust someone without a phone, so asking help was nearly impossible.
- Much more problems, trust me, depending on the phone for all things was the biggest mistake I could make. (It is such a convenience though)
What change happened after the loss?
- More me time, meaning less anxiety to know what happens around.
- My travel to corsica was splendid without a phone.
- I bought myself a simple waterproof camera.
- Started spending more time reading the books I had hoped to read earlier.
- I said good bye to Mobile MOBA games. (Saved lot of money and time)
- Less digital friends, and more real time with friends who wanted to see me.
- Lots of time to meditate 2 times a day for an hour.
- And many more things….
Do you want to know how I am managing these days without phone and how people react when I say I don’t have Whatsapp or FB messenger?
And why I did not quit FB?
