Shaun King Did Not Steal (or even raise) Money from the Family of Eric Garner

Several popular conservatives have stated for nearly a year that Shaun King stole money from the family of Eric Garner. This is a lie.

Shaun loves Eric Garner’s family and has been deeply motivated by them, but never even raised a dime for them anywhere. This lie was purely created to discredit Shaun and the work he is actually doing to expose police brutality around the country.

Eric Garner’s daughter, Erica, who has served as a spokesperson for the family since his murder in July of 2014, just made this statement in support of Shaun and to confirm that Shaun never raised (or stole) anything from this family.

The family of Tamir Rice have come out to make the same statement.
