The Message is the Medium: A guide to medium-format photography

Medium format also makes the photographer slow down and think before they shoot – more so than 35mm film and especially more so than digital – because each roll only allows 12–15 exposures (and film is expensive to boot). Medium and large format photography allows the photographer to develop the craft because of the extra mindfulness needed.
