I haven’t driven that stretch of I90, but I made the back-and-forth drive from Denver to Indiana (or Michigan) many times, traveling through Nebraska, Iowa and Illinois on I80. I actually always loved that drive and I’m certain I’d enjoy the northern route along I90.

I defy anyone, though, to tell me they loved the drive on I70 through Kansas. I made that trek a few times from Indianapolis to Denver (or the reverse) and it was tough. It’s beautiful, but it is OH MY GOD THE SAME FOR 11,000 MILES.

Okay, that may be a big of an exaggeration, but of all of the many miles I’ve driven, I70 through Kansas is the only route I ever vowed to never drive again. The neverending corn fields and blue skies are beautiful, but so singularly beautiful that it lulls you to sleep. Besides, there’s so much more that I haven’t seen yet!
