Yes, xenophobic people in the United States (or any country) are so impoverished in their experience of life. I truly feel sorry for them. My friends and family live everywhere, travel everywhere. Once, my daughter took a grad course over break time, because it was taught in Prague (Praha, of course, travelers call it and brag about it as Party City, EU), and she knew of no one in our family who had been there! Ha! I loved her reasoning, and I’m proud of her — she’s so beautiful, so intelligent, so fearless yet safety-conscious. I’ll die happy, having known her :-). PS She enjoyed the class.
