Thank you for connecting my digital dots. I also realized I might have confused readers, had they come across both posts.

To clarify, you are right. I do support having more representation of women in leadership positions, and there is a good argument to be made for that in principle across the board. But I can support that position in general and still not feel that in a head-to-head match-up the woman should always win. I’m a feminist, not a lemming, after all.

In this situation, I believe the benefits of having a woman in the White House aren’t worth the trade-off. Hillary is an absolute liability in the general election. What people want in 2016 is authenticity. That’s why Republicans are going to nominate Trump, and why Dems must be smart enough to nominate Bernie. He’s the only one who can win against Donald, because he’s invulnerable to the attacks of falseness that are plaguing the political class in general, and Hillary Clinton in particular.
