Following the old road maps to success aren’t necessary anymore, and in most instances it isn’t even suggested.

Choosing a Different Path Could Be THE Best Decision for Your Future

There may not have been a better time for a person to choose their own unique path to success than now. Following the old road maps to success aren’t necessary anymore, and in most instances it isn’t even suggested. Thinking out of the box, choosing to take an original route to your dream job, or being unconventional might be the best decision for your future.

It isn’t too late either to think over how you feel about your current job. People don’t have to stick to one career choice, anymore. In fact, changing over to an entirely new field could be the rejuvenating formula that will give your life a boost and your attitude about going to work a kick in the pants.

The opportunities available today mean anything and everything is possible. There are no limits. Age shouldn’t even hold you back because thinking “it is too late” is old school — now the motto is “there is no time like now”.

Colleges and universities are offering varied opportunities for getting an education. There are accelerated programs, working adult programs, credits for workplace and military experiences, and partial to full time online studies. There are fields that are so in need for educated professionals that some companies are offering full college debt payoff in exchange for a commitment to working a specific amount of time. Others are offering part-time work with full-time pay so you can go to school and work gaining experience in your new field at the same time.

There are “boot camps” for coding and computer programming that offer hands-on educations that are meant to help you bypass the time constraint of traditional college programs.

Crowdfunding has made it possible for startups to skip the traditional funding routes. Now consumers are putting their money into businesses that develop products they want to buy before they come to market.

Musicians and singers don’t have to hope for stage time or that an agent will pick them up. They can post videos on YouTube. They can sell their music online, scout for festivals or gigs, and they can build a fan base themselves — all online and reach a worldwide audience. From musicians to comedians, the opportunities are out there — it’s just a matter of finding them.

Hopeful directors, photographers, educators, writers, poets, DIYers, crafters, artists, fashion designers, and all other creatives can reinvent the path to success. There isn’t one sure way to the top, it’s just a matter of hard work, commitment, focus, and learning from smart mentors.

Entrepreneurs can set up a new business within hours from a smartphone or computer. You don’t have to hang a sign anywhere to start because “coworking” and the new sharing economy can make doing business not only cost effective, but smarter, and profitable quicker than before, not to mention the great networking opportunities that come with this type of business model.

It is a great time to have a dream. Any goal you have in mind likely has multiple paths or one that hasn’t been discovered yet. You might even have a goal in mind that involves a job that has never existed before and that is possible, too. The key to your success might very well involve your choosing to do it different than anyone has ever done before.

Dream your dream. Set your goal. Plan in detail and get to work. That’s it. You might not want or be able to do it the way everyone else has done it, and that’s OK. The point is that you get moving, you start taking the steps now, and make it happen.
