In the recent AMA (Ask Me Anything) that took place on Friday night, one of the questions asked was is there any platform that the upcoming Shibarium Blockchain layer-2 solution can be compared to.
In the answer to that question, Polygon Matic was brought up as a good role model for Shiberium.
If Polygon is the closest thing to how Shiberium will function, there is a lot to be excited about. We also could have an idea of how the transition to Shiberium will look for Shib Token holders.

Recently Unstoppable Domains rolled out their layer 2 change from Ethereum to Polygon for minting their blockchain domains. After the implementation, all new blockchain NFT domain names could be minted on Polygon, and after a few stages of the roll out plan, NFT domain names that had already been minted on Ethereum could be bridged to Polygon.
I recently went through the process of bridging one of my blockchain domain names from Ethereum to Polygon through Unstoppable Domains system, and the process was smooth. Not only that, I now can work with my domain, website, etc. with no gas fees. This was a huge factor in the future success of blockchain domains.
If Shiberium is being modeled after Polygon, or is even close to what Polygon has done, then in my opinion, there is a lot to be excited about for the future of Shiba Inu and the entire ecosystem.
