The Israeli B-52 Is a Terrible Idea
War Is Boring

The Israeli Air Force does have a need for a medium bomber that would have more range and a heavier payload than its current strategic aircraft, the F15-I. Putting such an aircraft together is well within the capabilities of the local industry, and there is no indication that this is or that this is not being done. There was a rumor a few years ago that IAI is developing a jet-powered UAV, which could fit the bill, or not, but nothing has transpired so far. There also have been absolutely no reports of “UFO” sightings in Israel for the last two decades. These are usually indicative of the existence of “black projects”, and the apparent absence of these worries me as an Israeli citizen.
