Faisal,

I love this article. I would like to think more and create a post on my thoughts on this topic with using yours as inspiration if thats cool?

I lived in a dozen cities in the last year and half so I have picked up a technique or two. I would recommend going out and having a few drinks is also the best way to meet people, especially at the local travel or hostel bars. People love travelers and like giving tips to someone who just recently moved to their city. Along the conversation, you can create a plan with your new group of friends. As you mentioned, preparing your mindset is key if wanted to do these activities alone.

“Strangers are people waiting to be friends.” — Someone

I would also add that connecting with people instantly is the best way to create a relationship. Networking last nowhere if there is no follow up. I threw away business cards and now instantly start a conversation with someone on email or text after I meet someone. Your template seems like a good startegy to stay organized. No other Personal CRM tools out there?

Where do you suggest for getting into Improv in SF? I always wanted to consider it.
