Histoire

Because few words are unsaid forever…

A thousand words left unsaid,
A thousand thoughts unheard,
A thousand desires I had,
Buried, they hide in mirth.

Few words I crave to say,
To whom I know not,
Awaiting a blessed day,
To express all I thought.

Many memories engraved like braille,
I read them with eyes closed,
Random as patterns in a hail,
I decipher every question posed.

Wonder if the words could ever reach,
The heart they were meant to,
For explanations you beseech,
Express the way I’d do.

Often I tried to move on,
Often desired to let go,
Every night I drown until morn,
In the pool of past, wishing you’d know.

Sometimes I wonder if it is worth holding on,
To something that should have been buried in the past,
It was true but now its gone,
Mesmerizing vista of a shooting star which did not last.

And today I saw a glimpse of your melting core,
You don’t care, you might say, knowing its a lie,
Somehow we connect, yet being on opposite shores,
I’m here, an on-looker, hoping you’d walk by.

This story is incomplete yet, it wasn’t the end,
I know not which way it’ll go, might take any hue,
What we think and feel, I cannot comprehend,
Hope is all I got, to find my way back to you.
