Chinese cuisine is well known all over the world for its rich history and the various complicated techniques and traditions involved in its preparation. Owing to its rich quality and competitive pricing, there is a growing demand for Chinese foods around the globe. The history of Chinese food is an interesting one. Unlike many cultures, the Chinese believe that the preparation of food is an art and not simply a craft. The art of cooking Chinese food can include dishes and food preparation techniques which are difficult to develop and may require the expertise of a chef with lots of experience. Chinese food and the way it is prepared is very much influenced by the two major philosophies, which influence the entire Chinese culture. These dominant philosophies are Confucianism and Taoism. Both have these philosophies have influenced the way that the Chinese people cook and the way that they enjoy their food. Traditional Chinese foods in Northam and other places have seemed to win hearts in such a way that many people have this cuisine as a default option whenever it comes to anything except their staple food.

Chinese culture has always been taught to hunt and fish for their own foods, grow their own crops and cook for centuries. It was later that they made Chinese cooking an art. Unlike most cultural dishes, Chinese food is very low in calories and fat. Many people are inspired to cooking Chinese foods because of this as they make it their business to add these special dishes to their home meals. People love Chinese cuisine because of the taste and the way Chinese people use lots of vegetables and natural spices to cook a variety of different dishes.

Traditional Chinese dishes use very little oil and the ingredients are cooked quickly especially stir fries so retaining their vitamins which overcooking destroys. During the various dynasties, the range of dishes and the philosophical concepts underlying their relationships to each other expanded rapidly. Trade brought in new ingredients, and wealth brought the opportunity for specialist chefs who vied with each other for royal favor. The most popular of these dishes then left the royal courts and became fair for the wealthy across China. As travelers’ inns changed and became restaurants in the western sense

The Chinese people attribute their long lifespan and excellent quality of life to the philosophy and style of culinary arts. Centuries of refining the harmony of food groups offer several significant dietary benefits. One of the key benefits of Chinese dishes come from the use of steamed ingredients and well-balanced food groups. Most vegetables and some meats are steamed and have a much lower lipid composition. Very few Chinese dishes are deep-fried and are far healthier than most other South Asian cuisines. The use of rice and wheat in noodles is a perfect combination of carbohydrate energy and the wheat aids to slow down digestion for sustained energy release. The use of soy as a primary vegetable protein is considered one of the healthiest culinary features of this cuisine.
