As a photographer ,I recently got onto Instagram . I have always been reluctant of it and social media . I rarely use my phone to take images . Personally I feel photography is a pure medium and one must develop their vision and eyes to take it forward. Instagram and phone camera might not be able to provide the joy of an image which has that moment , emotion, composition and other elements that truly define an image . What it does though is instant gratification . I still want to do well on Instagram and have people follow me,but it would be to discover my work at most ( as one of the channels ) and not to hone my skills . Photography is a different ball game and needs meditation like any other craft .
