Video Reviews on Amazon Products
I’m sure that you, just like everyone else, go onto Amazon and browse through their products. When you click on the product there will many times be a video attached to the product. This is a review video.
In this review video, the product you are viewing is shown in how it works, how it looks, etc… One thing that many people do not realize is that the people making these review videos are actually getting paid to make these videos.
Let’s say someone makes a review video on a product on Amazon. Every time someone watches at least 30 seconds of that video and then proceeds to buy that product the person making the review video gets paid a commission.
When you go onto Amazon and you click on a product, you will many times see a couple thousand reviews on that product. What we need to realize is that there is a small percentage of people who actually leave a review. This means that hundreds of thousands of people are buying these products. Even if a small percentage of those people click on your video you will still be making a lot of money from commission.
The cool thing here is that not a lot of people know about this so there really is not a lot of competition for you to get started.
The Profit
We know that Amazon at least pays 2 percent commission on electronics. This might not sound like a lot, but it adds up over time.
Let’s say you make a review video about Apple headphones that are selling for $480 dollars a pair. If there are 100,000 sales, and about 5,000 people watched your video, with a 2 percent commission that is $11 per purchase. Multiply $11 times 5,000 and you are looking at $55,000 dollars just from one product. Now imagine having 10, 20, or even more products to work with. The money could add up real quick over a fast period of time.
What do I need to get started?
To make the videos all you really need is your phone. Most people making these videos just use their own phones. You might have to do a little bit of editing, but nothing too much that would be too hard to learn.
Obviously, in order to do a review on an Amazon product you would have to buy that product. This might be scary having to spend money in order to make money, but if you wanted to you could just send the product back when you are done making your review video.
