Taking That First Step

I am a college undergraduate. Took two courses but none of those I was able to finish. I decided to quit school and just try to search what is in store for me outside the academe. Here’s what I’ve found out:

On the employment part, there is no enough room for an undergraduate like me. all of the office posts “we’re hiring” are all requiring for a college graduate. Even if I know I am capable to do the work none had gave me the chance to try it. Maybe upon seeing my resume that I am an undergraduate my paper had found its place on the bin. That most of the time haven’t they thought of the effort and cost of production for those papers be submitted to them? Maybe not. The hell they will care right?

On my civic organizations there I found my nook. Since I quit from the university and I am one of the million of Filipinos who are unemployed I spend my time by doing some volunteer works. Doing some advocacy works for some Environmental Groups gave me the privilege to enjoy the adventures that is priceless and beyond the corporate world could pay me.
