Hurt people hurt people

He filmed this episode a day after his wife passed away.

Why do we unwittingly hurt people that we care about the most?

Note to self:

Stop over-thinking too much. Leave this behind you.

Put on a cordial facade in front of everyone, but be sure to learn from this. A wound remains but it will take some time to heal. You will be scarred but you have to move on.

’Cause he will.

Most important of all, do not ever let your insecurities and inconfidence hinder you taking a leap of faith. Have faith and confidence in yourself. Trust your friend.

But can I still trust him, especially when my trust has been broken by the same person? Trusting him that he will not give up on me…on this friendship again?

“To be someone’s best friend requires a minimum investment of time. More than that, though, it takes emotional energy. Caring about someone deeply is exhausting.” — Malcolm Gladwell, The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference

Hopefully, everything will be fine again. Maybe all it takes is a leap of faith to fix my broken self.
