Signal: Acts 1 & 2 Distribution Schedule
Signal is an alternate reality game utilizing a CW20 token on Juno and NFTs in the Cosmos ecosystem; it follows a 5-act structure over 12 months, with a major NFT collection being released at the culmination of each act. The following rewards distribution is designed to encourage and reward participation across the project’s initial narrative arc.
This document focuses on the first 7 months, over which 460125 (34.08%) SGNL will be distributed through airdrops, through liquidity pool (LP) rewards, and through rewards for contributing to puzzle decryption and community building. Projections from month 7 are tentative.
Note: This 12-month schedule begins with our successful listing on Junoswap, which we hope will occur in April, but we are operating patiently. We recognize that we are a small, novel project and we must gradually earn community trust. In the meantime, the project, NFT, and narrative development will continue unabated. Puzzles will continue to be released regularly.
Month 1: Launch on Junoswap
405000 SGNL (30%) will be provided to Juno/SGNL liquidity pools on Junoswap. This will form the initial circulating supply. The remaining 60% of funds are locked in DAO treasury, with the team controlling 10% of funds staked to the DAO. Team funds will remain locked in the DAO.
In addition, 7875 SGNL will be distributed as rewards for early decryption efforts.
Months 1– 12: Community Rewards
94500 SGNL (7%) will be distributed at a rate of approximately 7875 SGNL per month for the first 12 months to community members for contributing to transmission decryption and community building. These rewards are a pillar of the Signal experience; community members are rewarded for working to untangle our narrative through puzzles hidden in project communications, transmissions, NFTs, and more.
The project team will consult with the community regularly on reward distribution processes.
Months 2 to 7: LP Rewards
202500 SGNL (15%) will be provided to Junoswap LP as external incentives to the Juno/SGNL pool over 6 months. Providing liquidity during this period is heavily incentivized. These rewards will be enabled as soon as possible when external incentives contracts are available on Junoswap.
Months 3 to 5: Airdrop
202500 SGNL (15%) will be airdropped in 3 increments of 67500 SGNL in June, July, and August. The airdrop has been designed to line up with critical events in the Signal narrative as well as the release of the first NFT collection at the end of Act 1.
Strategic Spending: Circumstantial
The Project Team estimates that a maximum of 20250 Signal (1.5%) may be requested from the community fund across the first 6 months of the project. This may include: bringing in additional development assistance, additional spending related to in-game events or collaboration, additional marketing, and so on.
Any requests for strategic spending will be submitted to the DAO for review on a case-by-case basis after thorough community consultation.
Months 7 to 12: DAO Elevation
After the first 7 months (Act 1 and Act 2) of Signal, 873000 (64.67%) SGNL will be in circulating supply and 460125 (34.08%) SGNL will have been directly distributed to the community. At this milestone, the DAO will be reformed, mechanisms for DAO treasury expansion will be introduced, and DAO participation will become more directly incentivized.
From month 7 onward, the DAO treasury will have a base of approximately 337,500 (25%) SGNL (alongside additional funds invested from sales from the first 2 NFT collections) to utilize through community governance. The project team intends to continue distributing 7875 SGNL per month as rewards during this period.
Month 12 and Beyond: Expansion and Collaboration
The end of Act 5 will conclude Signal’s first narrative arc.
Celebrating its first year, a successful Signal Dao will have the following:
- a large, engaged, and empowered community
- proof of unique, high quality NFTs and novel, engaging user experiences
- a robust DAO treasury
- a brand associated with creativity, quality and integrity
At this juncture, we will be able to continue producing new experiences in a multitude of ways: fresh projects under the project team direction, sponsored projects from within the SGNL community, collaborative projects with artists and developers across the ecosystem, and more.
