Figuring out the navigation problem

What seems like a simple process of navigation when looking to optimize can be a complicated process. In this process I went through intial

Ideation -> Analysis -> Hypothesis -> Tests ->Validation ->Final product.

We had around 12 buttons with very similar functions and features which was a massive mess and poor user expeirence which we all agreed upon. Thereafter I was given the responsiblity to sort and figure out a better structure. Since all of the functions had already been sorted, it was time to create a hypothesis and then test it. For this
