Writing about not writing

Like most folks, I started the year with plans and goals. I planned to write more. My goal was to publish 12 thought leadership articles by the end of 2016. Fast forward to 5 months later, not a single article published.
As a journalism graduate and Senior Social Media Manager at a prestigious Johannesburg based digital agency — I produce copious amounts of content on a daily basis.
So why I haven’t I been able to pen any of my thought leadership articles? The answer is a mixture of procrastination, indecision, laziness and a severe lack of inspiration. Terrible excuses, right?
Refusing to be one of those that fail to achieve their goals — I decided to challenge myself to write this month. Taking inspiration from Zimbabwean author Doris Lessing who said “You can only learn to be a better writer by actually writing” I decided to start this blog.
A blog about anything and everything social media. A blog that will kick start my writing and inspire my thought leadership articles. How will I do this? By committing tow writing & publishing (on this blog) 10 great pieces of content before 30 June 2016.
