I can only assume by your immediate mocking of both my name and profession, that you really enjoyed my essay. It must have tickled your CPU in just the right place.

My advice is sound for many of the people that are frustrated by the ways Medium is broken. It was the same advice given to me years ago, when I told someone else Facebook was broken. That was the same advice they too were given many years earlier, when interestingly, they complained to a friend that their McDonald’s Happy Meal only made them content.

I was not defending Medium, I was defending your right not to lend Medium all of your self esteem, for fear they would keep it.

Medium is a free service that gives my writing more exposure than if it did not exist. It is not perfect, and I am okay with that. Your feedback is one of the reasons that I am on this site, as you sound articulate, smart, and I value the free editing advice you have given me, about my own ideas, and how I present them.
