I think people have responded to Larry’s piece because his clickbait title implies the reader might be hurting themselves in some way, so our curiosity takes over.
He has also promoted it by paying money to have it ‘pushed’ by twitter etc.
I wrote the response I did mostly because I was curious whether the CEO of a start up would be more persuasive than a physician, when discussing the brain.
What I have learned is this: CEO’s, Start ups, and Clickbait get more attention and recommends on Medium than a Doctor telling it like it really is. But that is what the Internet is all about: attention is the major currency, reality often only comes in a close second.
