I think about this possibility a lot. In my case, I specifically do NOT want to create a pseudonym, but an ongoing online stalking issue makes it safer for me to find ways to hide my identity online. I cannot hide my identity where I live, because I’m a pretty public figure in my local community. Sometimes I fantasize about making a new name for myself and finally feeling totally safe.
