And now, how to obtain a grant. First, start with a proposal. (You’ll notice the process is very similar to proposing changes to protocol parameters covered in lesson 103.)

Step 1. Go to the snglsDAO at https://app.snglsdao.io

Step 2. Connect your wallet to the app by clicking “Login” in the top right corner.

Step 3. Open the “Grants” section from the left navigation and click on the “New Proposal” button. …

Now that we’ve covered how to obtain SGT and gain reputation, let’s move on to the next steps: how to stake your SNGLS to gain a membership in the SNGLS Media Distribution Protocol.

If you don’t have SNGLS already, you can obtain them via Uniswap in much the same way that we learned to obtain SGT in the first installment of this series.

Here’s a video walkthrough in case you need a refresher:

Once you have SNGLS, you can then move on learning how to stake them. Here’s how:

Step 1. Go to the snglsDAO at https://app.snglsdao.io

Step 2. Connect your wallet to the app by clicking “Login” in the top right corner. …

The snglsDAO has officially launched, so we wanted to kickoff a how-to series that covers some basics on how to interact with the snglsDAO.

First up, how to obtain SGT tokens. (If you already own SGT, you can skip steps 1–4.)

Step 1. Go to the snglsDAO at https://app.snglsdao.io

Step 2. In the left menu beneath DAO STAKES section, hover your mouse over “$ Buy SGT”, then click “Uniswap” and proceed to Uniswap.

Step 3. Choose a token to swap for SGT tokens. …

Yes, there’s a lot of tokens, but as we detail below, each has its own specific function and role

In the second of SingularDTV’s June airdrops, SNGJ tokens will be airdropped to SNGLS holders.

We will take a snapshot of all SNGLS holders on June 8 at block 10,226,000. Anyone who is holding SNGLS at that block will be eligible to receive SNGJ. Each address holding SNGLS during the snapshot will receive a 15% airdrop of SNGJ tokens. This means that if you have 1,000 SNGLS in your wallet at the time of the snapshot, you will receive 150 SNGJ in the airdrop. We do not anticipate that ANY centralized exchanges will support the airdrop. …

As you may have already heard, SingularDTV has not one, not two, but THREE airdrops planned for June. And the launch of a DAO. (What can we say? We’re stuck at home, too, but we like to stay busy.) The goal for June is to grow our community of token holders and educate that community on the connection between our various tokenized ecosystems.

How Airdrops Work

First a note on some airdrop best practices. For those of you who might be newer to crypto, an airdrop refers to a giveaway of tokens to holders of another token. Generally, there are no active steps that a prospective participant needs to take, they simply have to be holding the specified token at a designated time, generally specified as a block height of the Ethereum blockchain. Once the block of the specified height is mined, we will take a snapshot, or a list of all Ethereum addresses holding the specified token (either SNGJ or SNGLS) and what amount of that token they are holding to determine how many of the airdropped tokens they will then receive. …

SNGLS to SNGJ, SNGJ to SNGLS, SGT to SNGLS

SNGLS to SNGJ, SNGJ to SNGLS, SGT to SNGLS

It’s May 2020.

For seven years we’ve been building a decentralized entertainment industry.

Numerous blockchain companies have come and gone.

We’re still here.

We’re still building…

It’s bittersweet to say, especially in these troubling times, but SingularDTV has never been in a stronger and more inspired position. We’ve optimized on all fronts. Our team is the best we could have — I know, I’ve personally hired and fired over 100 people in the last few years in pursuit of achieving company-wide synergy. Our burn has never been so clean — a blue flame.

We’re rolling out several crucial pieces of infrastructure over the next 12 months. On deck is the SNGLS Media Distribution Protocol, the snglsDAO, EtherVision and the launch of the SNGJ and SGT tokenized ecosystems. …

Death of Dogma, a new breed of Sociopath, the promise of Transparency

Zach LeBeau, SingularDTV / Breaker

Part 1: Dogma is dead… Long live Pragmatism!

Dogma launched the blockchain industry. It was born from libertarian principles, disrupters who dreamt the end of omnipresent government and corporate control. Ironic how the entrenched legacy establishments have taken over the narrative. They have the control now. We gave it to them. We offered the olive branch of cooperation and consensus. Stupid? Let’s evolve together! Let’s teach “them” about blockchain. Why would we do that? Because they have the money and power to validate “us”.

Whatever the excuse, “they” get to use this technology to create bigger and better versions of themselves. China improves the efficiency of their autocracy through the issuance of a national cryptocurrency. Facebook, pretty much the same thing. Wall Street creates more markets out of thin air, packages new financial instruments to buy and sell. Banks become more… banky. Helping artists from getting screwed over by publishers and distributors?…
