It is a serious crime to willfully lie during a statutory declaration. That means the mythical predator haunting your creative imagination just suspended an anvil over his head. Hardly the actions of a calculated criminal to hand a blank cheque to law enforcement.

Forcing people to spend 2 years in a legal limbo — living as one gender, but counting as another — presents a number of problems when interacting with various institutions. The current requirement is that the person must present full-time as their identified gender. Well you have someone on HRT, whose secondary sex characteristics reflecting that HRT and who is likely dressing in accordance with gender stereotypes so as to be clearly fulfilling these ridiculous requirements imposed upon them — and you think it’s fine to pigeonhole them into institutions for their assigned sex.

For the record, it is your policy that advocates for bearded, strapping men to be forced into women’s institutions. Trans men exist. I doubt you want Buck Angel in your women’s washrooms. Yet defining assigned sex as prevailing above gender identity would do exactly that. You would cause your own nightmare scenario.

Lastly, the reactionary fear in this post clearly demonstrates that argumentation from feelings is obviously valid in your book. You’re applying a double standard by suggesting trans people’s feelings are somehow invalid while yours are worth turning into legislation. You can’t have it both ways.

Sloppy and derivative thinking.
