Time to cut loose and party — Spring Break is almost here… Here’s Skurt’s guide to your ultimate Spring Break 2017 in Miami.

South Beach

You can’t have the full Miami experience without exploring South Beach. It’s the best place to base yourself for your Spring Break — not only impossibly beautiful, but is also filled with some of the hottest Spring Break parties for you to go and explore.

Whether you want to eat, shop, party or just bask in the Miami sun, South Beach has got you covered. Recline in a deck chair, take to the water for a swim, a spot of fishing or some exhilarating water sports. You will find a huge selection of restaurants and bars to enjoy some delicious cuisine and a refreshing beverage by the beach.

The beach itself really kicks off during Spring Break. Revellers bring the tunes on portable speakers (make sure you take a listen before plumping down, some people have questionable taste in music). Don’t forget an Esky for a bevvy or two.

If that all seems a little… informal, there are plenty of parties for you to check out while you are in town too, starting with the Welcome to South Beach club nights being held from the 13th-19th March. Featuring the freshest artists and a few (so far undisclosed) celebrity guest appearances, the club nights will be taking over a number of the area’s hottest clubs, including Dream Nightclub, Batting Cage, High Spades and Ivy Nightclub for some super-hot nights out.

Pool Parties

Pool parties are kind of what Spring Break in Miami is all about right? Dancing, cocktails and all the sunshine you could possible want? Sounds pretty sweet. Wrangle your way into one of the top hotel pool parties and cut loose. Here’s our pick of the parties for you to get a little wet and wild during your trip….

The Highbar at Dream Hotel South Beach host excellent pool parties by their gorgeous infinity pool - think of it as Studio 54 meets Miami. Brilliant white decor with touches of gold - the luxury life at surprisingly affordable prices. The Parazhit Pool Party on March 22nd promises a ten-hour extravaganza showcasing the best artists and talents from the radio station’s roster. Book your ticket here.

Want to party like a baller? The Mondrian South Beach Hotel’s parties are strictly on a first come first serve basis but it’s well worth it for the beautiful pool, hammocks and loungers galore, not forgetting the music, pumped out from some of Miami’s hottest DJs. There’s a $50 minimum spend on food and drink.

The Delano Hotel’s pool parties are free and open to everyone. The pool area is 7,000 square feet (basically, vast), so when it comes to Spring Break, it can really pack in the revellers to put on a party. If you really want to go all out, reserve one of their cabanas or daybeds in advance, otherwise just turn up and enjoy the party.

Rooftop Parties

Spring Break Celebrations come in many forms; pool parties, nightclubs, beach parties and the ever-classy rooftop party. So party in style at Voodoo Rooftop weekly rooftop parties, where the entry is free and the music is fresh. Dance through the week as Voodoo Rooftop host these weekly events on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, along with food and drink specials all night.
