App Directory Spotlight #5 — Front, Screenbot and Brandfolder

It’s a whole new month which means you must need some new apps. In our app directory spotlight this week we have apps for product people, marketers and customer facing teams. Let us know how you like them!

Front

Front makes your customer success or experience team feel super human by aggregating all of your channels — email, Twitter, Facebook, phone calls — into one single interface that your team can work in. Set up rules for conversations and canned responses, and pipe everything into Slack! With the Front Slack app you can send messages from Front to a Slack channel or user and auto send notifications to Slack based on your team rules. This is almost like having a highlight word from Front pipe into Slack. For example, if a message contains the word “billing” notify #billing-support. You can configure the Front app for Slack here.

Screenbot

Screenbot, built by the Droplr team, lets you share screenshots, annotations, screencasts, web captures and gifs all with a single slash command. This app is a must-have for any team that runs into problems with trying to troubleshoot products together — with Screenbot a quick screenshot, demo gif or annotation is extremely easy to capture and pipe into a Slack channel. Even nicer, this app allows you to grab a screenshot and share it straight into Slack without filling up your desktop with endless screenshot files. You can find out all about Screenbot on their page http://screenbot.io/.

Brandfolder

If you’ve ever tried to use our logo you might have noticed that we use Brandfolder here at Slack! Therefore, we’re very happy about the powerful Brandfolder Slack App. This app allows you two ways to organize, share and track brand assets without leaving your workflow within Slack. The first is an event feed integration that pipes Brandfolder analytics into the Slack channel of your choosing. The second is Brandbot, a bot that takes the context switching out of your usual “get brand assets routine.” Just mention brandbot and it will quickly get you the files you’re looking for. Brandbot can also recognize files you upload and ask if you want them added to Brandfolder. Get started with Brandfolder here.
