Meet Moses, Founder at Hangaroo. Moses is currently a student at Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore.

Hangaroo is an upcoming social campus app that provides a safe discrete space inaccessible to both the public and parents, where young people from within the campus can now truly express themselves.

“I am working on a project to solve a real problem in school. Behind the light and humorous persona of the app, lies a serious mission to encourage inter faculty networking, and to harness critical social skills for now, and the future.”

Why do you use the app? Are you hoping to meet people with any specific profile?

I found out about Smartcasual when through an article on LinkedIn. I was immediately in love with the idea of influencing “decision-making” and meeting professionals involved in your space.

Who have you met using Smartcasual?

I met Ignacio Martin. As fellow entrepreneurs, we had a lot to talk about, and I’m humbled by his entrepreneurial journey. He wasn’t afraid of sharing his futuristic plans, and the ups and downs that I could emulate from. He is also well learnt in the Mobile-App space and gave me key insights that I should take note when working with my developers. Thank you, and I yearn for another opportunity to touch base with him again when comes to Singapore.

What can you offer other people who meet you?

As an avid entrepreneur for 2 years now, I wasted a tremendous amount of time on non-value added work that I thought was necessary. Now I can help accelerating growth for any start-up, especially those in technology.

After 4 years in a tertiary campus, I’ve grown a good network and made demographic studies, particularly about Temasek Polytechnic. I’ll be happy to share my data with any entrepreneur trying to get ahead of the Singapore start-up ecosystem.

Has anything positive for your business come out of any of your meetings?

Yes, the meet-up was really fruitful and refreshing. The advice gave me a fresh perspective on how I should handle the technical development in my Business and it’s definitely positive.

Would you recommend Smartcasual to your friends?

Yes, immediately after I have downloaded Smartcasual I introduced it to my twin brother Matthew. I will definitely recommend Smartcasual to my friends too.
