Conquest S6, a New Rugged Smartphone from China

Of late there seems to be quite a lot of rugged smartphones getting launched in the market hinting that there is quite the demand for such phones. Rugged Smartphones are the one’s which are opted mostly by those who are not really bothered of how they handle their phone, meaning throwing it around, dropping and what not. They are even liked most by people who work in construction or such sort of places where they need phones that are water and dust resistant besides being drop resistant. To cater their needs is the Conquest S6, made by a local company in China adding to the list of rugged smartphones available in the market.

So far when talking about rugged smartphones, it would be the phones from brands like Casio and CAT and now is the China maker giving out Conquest S6, a rugged handset with features to appeal customers who need such protection for their devices.

Conquest S6 is a rugged smartphone with indestructible borderline that comes wearing a power armor (it looks).

HIGHLIGHTING FEATURES OF CONQUEST S6:

Conquest S6 is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance along with it being resistant to pressure, scratching, freezing and high temperatures (of course it has its own limits) Its body is rubberized and well protected all over to withstand all sorts of impacts. There are two metal strips tightly in place in its display that are fastened with titanium screws to make sure it gives that extra protection to the device. Measuring 9 x 83.16mm, the device is not exactly that small or light as it weighs 290 grams — can be referred as “thick as a brick”.

SPECIFICATIONS OF CONQUEST S6:

Display: On considering its specifications, the device comes with a 5-inch 720p display of 1280 x 720 pixel resolution protected with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3. Processor: Powering the device is MediaTek’s 64-bit MT8732 quad-core processor. Memory: The processor gets coupled with 1GB of RAM. In-built storage: With regards to in-built storage capacity, the Conquest S6 gets 8GB storage capacity. Camera: At the back of the device is a 13-megapixel snapper while the front camera is 5-megapixel. Battery: a 4,000mAh battery ships with the device. OS: Android 4.4.4 KitKat is the software available within the device. This is a Dual-SIM supporting device. Connectivity Options: 4G LTE connectivity options are available with the device.

The Conquest S6 is now available for sales within China with a price tag of 1,999 Yuan (i.e. $320). Though it is now sold only in China, hopes are that very soon the device might reach various international resellers in the future. But nothing is confirmed yet by the company with regards to its international availability, might be in future we get to know the same. With all this said, it being a low-mid range device despite the price is expected to appeal to some people.
