Birthdays

Today is an otherwise unauspicious June day. It’s also my birthday, and the birthday of a few other people — much more famous than I am, like Senator Elizabeth Warren (D., Massachusetts).

My son asked me what I wanted for my birthday, and I couldn’t think of anything. I don’t want or need anything that you can buy in a store and so I look forward to taking the day off of work, enjoying time to do “whatever-I-choose” (which usually includes some writing) and generally pondering the past <enter # here> years I have spent on the planet.

This year I’ve also decided to give away some things instead of receiving things. One of the things I am giving away is my first eBook: Discover Your Path — a map for job happiness.

The Amazon Kindle download will be FREE for 3 days; Friday, Saturday and Sunday (June 23–25, 2017) and is a great place to start if you have a job that you hate, a career that doesn’t “fit” or are generally miserable in what you do to earn a living.

There are no grand promises, no get-rich-quick schemes: just some measured common sense and a simple approach to helping anyone reexamine their career prospects from a new perspective.

So if you LOVE your job, you’ll probably want to pass on this offer. But for the ~50% or so of the American workforce that is not thrilled with the 9-to-5 (or more accurately, the 7-to-7), accept this gift and see what you can glean from it.

Happy Birthday to me & all the best to you!

Enjoy :-)
