WHO YOU ARE DOES NOT MATTER.

“GATHER ROUND. I’M GLAD EVERYBODY CAME OUT TONIGHT. AS WE STAND ON OUR NEIGHBORHOOD CORNER, KNOW THAT THIS FIRE THAT’S BURNING REPRESENTS THE PASSION THAT YOU HAVE… I RECOGNIZE ALL OF YOU. EVERY CREED AND COLOR. WITH THAT BEING SAID…FUCK YOUR ETHNICITY. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT? WE GON’ TALK ABOUT A LOT OF SHIT THAT CONCERNS YOU. ALL OF YOU.”
Right fucking now, the cryptoverse has the potential to be the fairest place for the transference of value in human history, if we do it right. ‘Fair’ is different from ‘equitable’ or ‘equal.’ Equitable systems require an assessment of an individual’s advantage. Equal systems control the results. A fair system is process-centric, rather than input- or output-centric. A fair system produces the same results given the same input, and proportionally different results given different input.
This is not to say that the cryptoverse does not have the potential to make meaningful, real-world changes that result in more equal and equitable societies — quite the contrary. A fair system of value-transference endows all individuals with power, something that has never before existed. We, those of us alive on this Earth (or orbiting far from it) right now, are in a unique position to build a fair system. By virtue of technological advancements and the (temporary) fact that institutions have not kept pace, we can actually implement and benefit from a fair value-transference system — a privilege no human in history has ever had before. To build this requires hard work and a constant agreement on the integral value of non-discrimination, fairness, improvement, and the support of superior ideas.
“IT’S HAPPENING. NO MORE RUNNING FROM WORLD WARS. IT’S HAPPENING. NO MORE DISCRIMINATING THE POOR.”
Non-discrimination
An ideal value-transference system is one where no participant is treated differently based on anything other than their behavior, including their identity- only still possible because of the available (but critically endangered) right to anonymity on the Internet. This identity includes all real-world lifestyle choices, natural characteristics, and physical location. The current (and past) global political situation unfairly disadvantages individuals. Any perceived ‘anti-government rhetoric’ of the cryptoverse should be read as a reaction to the discriminatory laws of nations, which directly conflict with the predominant ethos of the cryptoverse: who you are does not matter.
“NOW I DON’T GIVE A FUCK IF YOU BLACK, WHITE, ASIAN, HISPANIC, GOD DAMMIT, THAT DON’T MEAN SHIT TO ME, FUCK YOUR ETHNICITY”
Fairness
An ideal value-transference system is one in which every single human being benefits from every idea. Though these benefits may manifest in specific ways based on participants’ real-world identities, the actual process through which they are derived must be blind to these identities and accessible to all. Because of the non-discriminatory/anonymous nature of the participants, decisions by creators and administrators inherently must be universally beneficial. This is a radical advantage of this new decentralized frontier, specifically decentralized finance. Without institutional power, ideators and creators are forced to communicate their ideas clearly, openly, in multiple languages, and through varying media.
“THEY SAY THE GOVERNMENT AIN’T THE TRUTH…AND POLITICIANS ALWAYS MISLEAD THE YOUTH”
Participants are free to- and by the very nature of the unstructured beast, obligated to do their own research (DYOR) and evaluate the ideas presented to them according to their own benefit. A fair financial ecosystem vests the power that resides in real-world institutions, banks, and governments in the participant. A project can only survive if it continues to serve its identity-less participants in the most beneficial way. Conversely, participants benefit the most by exerting their inherent power to support or not support individual entities.
Therefore, project creators must create with the understanding that their project must benefit every human, be them real-world rich, real-world poor, real-world loved, or real-world reviled. A project that focuses its benefits on a specific identity will benefit less participants than a universally beneficial project, making it eventually unsuccessful in an ideal value-transference system. The cryptoverse is a revolutionary landscape of fairness, currently made possible only through the last bastion of identity-less discourse: the Internet.
“I’LL LET THE PEOPLE KNOW THIS IS SOMETHING YOU CAN BLAME ON YOURSELVES. YOU CAN REMAIN STUCK IN A BOX. IMMA BREAK OUT AND THEN HIDE EVERY LOCK.”
Constant Improvement
An ideal value-transference system is one that is constantly improving itself according to its primary goal: fairness. This requires competition and self criticism. Frequently the “wild west” nature of the cryptoverse and its associated risks coupled with existing legal codes’ inability to categorize it are regarded as weaknesses; however, these provide a unique frontier in which ideas can be rapidly created, implemented, and improved for the benefit of the cryptoverse as a whole and its participants individually. To remain relevant, a project must compete with copy-cat projects, projects that bite its strengths, and security threats. This requires a level of self-critique and self-improvement that many real-world entities are protected from by their legal personhood.
“THAT’S WHY I’M BACKDOORING YOU MOTHERFUCKERS”
A fair and competitive ecosystem with empowered participants solves massive real-world problems. Large, essential entities can no longer bully smaller entities that threaten their dominance, forcing a battle of ideas rather than resources. All entities, large and small, have incentive to improve. Participants have access to infinite freedom of choice, including the choice to create their own ideas and entities to satisfy unfulfilled needs.
This wild frontier is only a positive, if looked at properly, but it does require all participants to be educated, up-to-date, and empowered to implement change. Though this may seem like a barrier to entry, it is wholly in line with the cryptoverse ethos. Ignorance and misinformation hurts not only individual participants who fall victim, but weakens the cryptoverse in its entirety. A fair system with decentralized power relies on the collective power of these individuals working together. If misinformation is the killer, the survival instinct is the pursuit of the utter dominance of truthful information. All participants, heavily invested or not, benefit the most from (and therefore have a vested self-interest in) correct information being easily accessible and understandable to new participants. This naturally creates constant competition for new ways to clearly communicate complex information, the advantages of new ideas, threats to be aware of, as well as existing weaknesses that must be improved in the pursuit of the ideal system.
“SHIT DON’T CHANGE TIL YOU GET UP AND WASH YOUR ASS”
“WHAT IS COMPETITION? I’M TRYNA RAISE THE BAR HIGH. WHO TRYNA JUMP AND GET IT?”
Ideocracy
An ideal value-transference system is one where the best ideas, not the most powerful people, prevail. In a completely fair and non-discriminatory system, the most universally beneficial ideas will prevail regardless of their origin. Without hegemonic power structures based in real-world identities dictating the system structure, participant-created structures can form and reform based on the needs of the participants themselves. This reinforces the need for information accessibility, competition, and criticism, but also reinforces the universal empowerment derived from a fair, participant-created system of value-transference.
“I KNOW WHAT I KNOW AND I KNOW IT WELL NOT TO EVER FORGET…TIL I REALIZED I DIDN’T KNOW SHIT”
The Window is Closing
“THE SKY IS FALLING, THE WIND IS CALLING. STAND FOR SOMETHING OR DIE IN THE MORNING.”
While all individuals regardless of their identity will benefit from a fair system, the historically, real-world advantaged institutions that have shaped its predecessor systems will lose the power they have accumulated and unfairly benefited from as an institution. Though the individual humans that operate these institutions will only benefit from a fair system, when they operate on behalf of their non-human institution, they fear the system becoming fair to all.
If these institutions were truly deserving of their dominance, would they fear a system in which the most beneficial ideas prevail?
This clearly illustrates what is at stake. If individuals from anywhere and everywhere do not exert their individual power to form a fair system that does not adhere to unfair rules, seated institutional powers will make it impossible. Therefore, this is a crucial window of opportunity to create this system based on the universally beneficial values of truth, non-discrimination, fairness, and improvement before it is closed by these institutions. It requires investment and meaningful work by individuals right now. You will benefit from this; it doesn’t matter who you are. Grab a shovel.
