Everything has been done before

I haven’t been a comic reader for many many years, and until two days ago I hadn’t heard of the late-1990s comic book Transmetropolitan and its protagonist, the furious, foul-mouthed reporter Spider Jerusalem.

But a few readers of my Trump article have pointed out to me that my idea for that article wasn’t new. Transmetropolitan’s writer, Warren Ellis, beat me to it by 19 years.

So kudos to Ellis. And also to the My Annoying Opinions blog, which posted a similar piece a day before mine.
