At the end of its first post-launch season starting from 2024/06/19 to 2024/07/31 (UTC+8), you can receive the first batch of $OwO tokens airdrops on 2024/08/01 by engaging in multi-layered, diverse and fun interactions within the mobile app!

We’re proud to announce that the SoMon (Social Monsters) mobile app is launching along with its Season 1, with its lot of fun and rewards, on iOS and Android devices and mobile web, on Base!
Join and post on one of the available Tribes, react, comment, follow other users… and get rewarded for it with Points and $OwO!
The goal is to allow you, SoMon users, to start building your social graph (posts, followers, affinity with other users, etc), which, unlike on Web2, is FULLY owned by you, since it’s on-chain!
The aim is also to create interesting and fun content on the app to get people to engage with you, build the most exciting Tribes, and have you rewarded with Points convertible in $OwO!

Explore various topics and atmospheres with like-minded people, whether it be asking whatever comes to your mind about literally anything, sharing memes, discussing the hottest tokens or stocks of the moment: the sky’s the limit!
To ensure a smooth and pleasant user experience, the number of Tribes will first be first limited to 6, with its admins being from the SoMon team.

But many more exciting Tribes are coming up (NBA, Politics, Hotties, etc) with more topics to chit chat about!
And great news: users will soon be able to even create and name their own Tribes! This “Create Tribe” feature will be available in the middle of the season, first for OwOG NFT owners, and then for every single SoMon user. We’ll keep you updated as soon as that happens.
Becoming a Tribe owner opens new avenues for monetization if you manage to build a community large and active enough to incentivize users to target them with a Megaphone (sponsored posts — more on that later).

AB-SO-LU-TELY NOT! SoMon is Web3-native AND actually gasless, just like the Web2 social apps you’re used to!
While you’re setting up your SoMon account on the app, SoMon has prepared $1 of gas subsidy just for you!
Concretely, what does it mean?
That you can refer and invite your friends to the app even if they don’t have a wallet or tokens, even if they have never performed any transaction on Base, or even if they don’t have any experience in crypto!

Last But Not Least: Step-By-Step Guide To Earn Points In Season 1 On The SoMon App
The Social Monsters mobile app has in-app and social daily tasks. Completing them will grant you Points for Season 1, which will last until 2024/07/31 (UTC+8), with a $OwO airdrop the next day.
Here’s a breakdown of daily tasks you can perform for Season 1:

All of that is great, but how to MAXIMIZE and MULTIPLY your number of Points, and therefore your $OwO airdrop amount?
Several ways:
Owning a OwOG NFT or Purchasing a Membership Pass earns you a POINT MULTIPLIER
- OwOG NFT: +100% Point Bonus Reward
The more SoMon Points you have, the more $OwO airdrops you will receive. Each wallet address tied to a SoMon account can own up to 3 NFTs, and their boosting power is cumulative! OwOG NFTs are available on the secondary market, but beware of phishing links and trade safely!
The Point bonus takes effect immediately at the start of Season 1 as soon as you start earning points.
- Membership Pass: +20% Point Bonus Reward
Each SoMon account can purchase up to 5 Membership Passes (0.0005ETH/pass). Referring friends to purchase their own gets you a 20% commission reward.
Note: This Point boost is activated only if you have a number of Points > 0, either from Pre-Season, or from Daily Tasks.
- Compete in SoMon Weekly Leaderboards gets you Badges
Each user with Points will be assigned to a league of 30-ish people. Each week, users ranking at the top will be promoted to the next level league. Each league (except the lowest-ranked) will receive an exclusive Season 1 Rank Badge. The higher the league level, the more valuable the badge you receive will be, and the more airdrops you will get at the end of the season.
Competition for Badges start from Day 1! Don’t forget to earn Points beforehand to appear on the leaderboard after a while.
- Get Your Content Promoted By Megaphone
Megaphone is a brand new OpenSocial-powered feature similar to Twitter Ads or Google Adsense. It is an on-chain promotion feature where users can select a Tribe category, and promote any information they want to the corresponding Tribes.
The mind-blowing thing about that functionality is that, unlike traditional Web2 advertising systems, the great majority of advertising expenses do not go to a centralized platform, but will be soon distributed to the Tribe owners and members!
Tribe owners will be able in the future to decide how to use these funds and share them, or keep them in a treasury. The more vibrant a Tribe becomes, the more likely it is to attract Megaphones. This means that your activity on the SoMon app gets rewarded with actual monetization.
Example Case:
As Season 1 starts, I currently have 3,000 Points on social.monster, and I hold 1 OwOG NFT
If I perform 1 daily check-in and spend $10 on a Megaphone post after the season starts, how many Points will I get in total?
Initial Number of Points: 3,000 Points
OwOG NFT: 1 (+100% Bonus)
Tasks Performed:
Megaphone: 200 Points + (300 Points * $10) = 3,200 Points
1 x Daily Check-In: 8 Points
Total Points = (3,000 Points + 3,200 Points + 8 Points) * (+100% OwOG Boost) = 12,416 Points
