Social Innovation Lab’s rockstar incubatee, Rizq has another feather in their hat. Previously, Rizq has been featured in national newspapers and media blogs however, this time their work has been acknowledged by “What Took You So Long” — a team of filmmakers from the US who travel to developing countries to make documentary films, organize events, photograph, teach, and collaborate with organizations on various projects. Their work focuses on appreciating and motivating the positive efforts of change makers and institutions.

Alicia Sully, co- founder “What Took You So Long”, and Clara Wetzel, scriptwriter for the same organization, came to Pakistan to document Social Innovation Lab’s work and chose to shoot a short film about our star incubatee Rizq. They were inspired by Rizq’s idea of distributing excess food to those who need it most instead of wasting it. They were also highly appreciative of Rizq’s innovative way to collect this food from restaurants in Lahore by using a low-cost rickshaw delivery system.

Social Innovation Lab is grateful to “What Took You So Long” for acknowledging our work and extremely proud of Rizq for their hard work and efforts.
