How To Lure First Time Buyers and Look Cool Doing It!

The real estate market has changed.

Some may say for the worse.

But in your line of work I feel you have to be optimistic. So I believe you don’t think it’s for the worse — but you do know that it has changed.

Years ago it was pretty simple to market your real estate business by just sending out Just Sold and Newly Listed mailers. Email quarterly newsletters with findings, and calling FBSO’s and expired listings to get leads.

All of that is DEAD.

The world is changing.

It’s changing drastically and real estate agents have to market themselves in the real world their living in. Everyone attention is on their phones. And you as Real Estate Agent have to go where your clients attention are at all times.

Most of the new first time home buyers are going to be millennials. Mostly all millennials are social media savvy and they are pretty much hip to all the new social media outlets that’s available.

Now how do you as a Real Estate Agent get their attention when it’s high distracted by social media?

Pretty simple indeed answer.

Snapchat! snapchat real estate

Snapchat has 166 million daily active users. Knowing how to use Snapchat to your advantage is a great tool in your arsenal.

You see in your line of work, Real Estate is very visual. The client want to see everything associated with the house so photos and videos are crucial in making a client interested. How many times have you heard your clients pass on a house because there wasn’t any videos or pictures? You see photos and videos are everything in Real Estate. That’s what Snapchat is all about! With it’s popularity you can use it and lure in your millennial first time home buyers with it.

With Snapchat all you have to do is record and take pictures of when your previewing a home. If it has a great view snap it and add narration to it. Ask questions in your narration to have engagement your followers.

If your listing has something you know will draw clients something unique, beautiful, or attractive show more of it on your Snapchat. It’s so much cooler talking about it on your Snapchat compared to some regular words in the MLS description.

You don’t have to worry about your followers scrolling by your Snapchat videos and photos because it’s not displayed as a news feed. Your followers will have your undivided attention because it’s a quick 15 second video. It’s like commercials you see on TV without the expenses of paying for thousands of dollars in ads.

I know this is all new and seem like a fad but this is definitely part of the future of marketing and everyone needs to add this too to your tool set. Knowing how to incorporate Snapchat to your business will be beneficial to you because you opened another pathway to get clients predominately millennials who will possibly be first-time homebuyers.
