Is this how you feel? Facebook launches Reactions

Facebook have just released their reasonably long awaited Reactions feature, suping up the ubiquitous Like button with a variety of other emotions. The Like remains, but is now flanked by six other actions — Love, Haha, Wow, Sad, and Angry.

The change satisfies long running requests for a “dislike” button to be added — giving people a choice about how they interact.

There are no announced timings on integrating this with reporting and Facebook Insights, but it changes the Like from a very passive interaction to an active decision – which may increase engagement, and definitely gives more visibility on sentiment for brands.

To get Reactions to work, update the app on your phone and hold the Like button on any post — or head to Facebook on desktop and hover over the Like button.
