Amazon’s first commercial drone delivery Inc. said Wednesday it made its first customer delivery by drone, putting the online retailer in the lead to use drones as a new delivery method. For now, there are only two U.K. customers in the program.

Amazon said it would expand to dozens of customers near its British facility in the coming months and later grow to hundreds. The flight, to deliver an Amazon Fire streaming device and popcorn to a customer identified only as Richard B, took off from a nearby warehouse of the online retailer and lasted 13 minutes, covering about two miles.
