Michael Bay is developing a Transformers virtual reality project

A new Transformers virtual reality experience is in the works from the movie series’ director Michael Bay. The project, Bay says, is in conjunction with IMAX and Industrial Light & Magic and it’ll be roughly nine minutes long. “It’s fun. It’s not active the whole time. But you feel things coming right over you. You gotta duck,” Bay told Collider.

One of the more interesting details about the project is that you won’t be viewing it from a headset, but inside a pod. Michael Bay There is no confirmed timetable for the project’s release, but IMAX said its developing theaters designed specifically for a VR experience.
